As a proud recipient of the NAHYSOSA Bursary, I believe that the fund itself empowers individuals who find themselves in difficult times. It enables these individuals to find light in the darkness and gives them the opportunity to pursue their dreams, dreams that may have previously seemed impossible to pursue. As the fund grows, so does the network of those enlightened by it. What this achieves is that, in time, we can turn bursars into benefactors.

The financial assistance of the bursary fund relieved some of the financial stress on my family while I completed my undergraduate degree at UCT. I am grateful for the support and generosity shown by the bursary fund and the donating Hellenic communities throughout the country. The NAHYSOSA bursary fund is a very crucial initiative for our community as it gives young students who are diligent and hard working the opportunity to complete their studies if all they are lacking is financial support.

The financial assistance received from NAHYSOSA allowed me to pursue my chosen career by being able to afford my studies at the Academy of Sound Engineering, something which would not have been possible otherwise. Freed from the financial pressures, I achieved above average results, graduated with a BSc degree in Sound Engineering, and opened up wide-ranging opportunities for me in my field of passion.
